New 2017 FIAT 124 Spider at Interstate Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram for Shreveport, LA

The illustrious Italian Pininfarina vehicle design house thought of and made the first 124 Spider body in 1966, and that design ethic is seen today within the 2017 Spider. The all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is welcomed heartily to this side of the Atlantic Ocean from Italy after 50 years since its original run! The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is a double-seat sports car with finely-tuned performance ratios. It is made for and ready to tour country-sides with style and superior handling, plus, it has a lot of room in the trunk, relatively. FIAT has taken the time to update what was needed to meet today's standards and kept the style and fun of the original models. It arrives in 3 model gradations: the Abarth, Classica, and Lusso.

Under the 124 Spider's Hood

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider re-enters the mix with a capable 1.4-liter MultiAir 4-cylinder engine that is, of course, turbocharged. The rear-wheel drive 124 Spider procures up to 164 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque with that engine, and is possible to acquire with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed auto transmission. A double-wishbone structure in front and a multi-link in the back is what you will find for a 124 Spider's suspension. It works well on tuning enhancements for remarkable stability when braking and turning. Steering is handled effortlessly via an electric power assist (dual pinion) system which builds into an incredible ride for driver & passengers alike! The inside arrangement of dash and console keeps that free of distraction and obstacles, and that includes an easy to operate steering wheel, pedals, and shift knob. EPA-estimated fuel economy on the automatic transmission Spider is 29 mpg combined (25 city/36 highway) and 30 mpg combined (26 city/35 highway) with the manual. The Abarth model has even more sporty items, such as, a front strut tower bar, a Sport Mode selector, a mechanical limited-slip differential-- all of which are in addition to a front/rear Bilstein sport suspension!

Design of FIAT 124 Spider

The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider is purchasable in three model variations: the Classica, Lusso and Abarth. The quality cabin is intended to suggest a luxury and carefree driving experience with augmented materials all about the insides. The intentional usage of a 6-sided upper grille & grille pattern, a distinguished horizontal rear lamp, and classic "power domes" on the front hood state clearly FIAT did not lose touch with the coolness of the initial 124 Spider line. Standard features on the Classica are composed of, among other items, a manually retractable soft top with glass window, cruise control, 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth phone & audio connectivity, plus a precise-sounding 6-speaker audio system. The Lusso rolls in with 17-inch wheels, then installs automatic headlights, heated seats, foglights, and automatic climate control. The Abarth builds on top of those items with quad exhaust tips, varying exterior and interior trim, a limited-slip rear differential, and a suspension that is sport-tuned. There is also an acoustic front windshield, on certain models. It is also conceivable (and available) to have the 124 Spider with technology items like Bluetooth, 7-inch touchscreen display, the FIAT Connect 7.0 system with multimedia control, and Keyless Enter 'n Go. A premium-level Bose sound system with 9 speakers, is also available for incredible sound fidelity due to the headrest-mounted speakers. Seven exterior paint colors are available, including "Bronzo Magnetico" (Bronze Metallic), and "Bianco Gelato" (White Clear Coat).
